Stobo Castle is an award-winning hotel, combining the finest spa facilities in Europe with premier hotel service.
Stobo Castle’s large spa facility consumes a lot of energy and water, resulting in high utility costs for the hotel, as well as time-consuming administration. In 2008, the hotel placed a huge effort on minimising overhead costs, so they appointed us to carry out a full review of all utilities (including telecoms) in order to identify areas for potential savings.
The Boxfish team carried out a full review of Stobo Castle’s utility bills in order to identify areas for savings. The team sought to obtain better tariff rates, identify opportunities for rebates on overcharges, gauge consumption levels, and spot irregularities.
We also aimed to reduce administration time by acting as the main point of contact for supplier liaison and contract management. Additionally, we supported Stobo Castle’s exploration of renewable options, to complement their Green Tourism Award.
We have enjoyed an excellent working relationship with the Boxfish team over the last 4 years. During this time they have proved to be very efficient and comprehensive in the service they provide. Having all of our energy and telecom invoices checked prior to processing allows us peace of mind that our financial accounts are accurate.
