Alzheimer Scotland provides a wide range of specialist services for people with dementia and their carers, offering personalised support services, community activities, information and advice at every stage of the dementia journey.
As the charity expanded, they recognized that they needed external, expert support to streamline and oversee their growing utility management needs.
After a comprehensive search in summer 2014, Boxfish were picked as the charity’s utility management partner and we’ve been been providing comprehensive across their full property portfolio ever since. This partnership has evolved over the years—from an procurement and invoice validation, to now include supporting the organisation with the full breadth of our services.
Our work with Alzheimer Scotland has involved technical project support, utility management, procurement, and consumption reduction, invoice validation, management information reporting, and the ongoing day-to-day management of their various contracts and suppliers. We’ve also supported them across multiple Energy Saving Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) and Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) submissions.
Since 2014 the Boxfish team have achieved financial savings in excess of £150,000 via our comprehensive energy and water tendering process, simplified utility contracts, streamlined supplier relationships, dispute resolution support, assistance with legislative compliance, and an improvement in their utility consumption.
We initially started working with Boxfish in 2014 on a single water procurement project, but the relationship quickly expanded due to the good results achieved; first into ESOS compliance and then eventually into full utility management support across all of our sites. Their approach of building a long-term partnership met our specific requirements and now we view the Boxfish team as a valuable external resource helping to meet the needs of the organisation. They share our aims of working to ensure the long-term sustainability of our organisation and we look forward to continuing to work with them in the future.
