Scottish Sports Futures, a national charity dedicated to supporting young people through sport and youth work, recognised the importance of understanding its environmental impact and strengthening its sustainability approach. With increasing expectations from funders and stakeholders around transparency and environmental responsibility, the organisation identified the need to for detailed Scope 1, 2, and 3 Carbon Reporting as a key step in supporting its long-term sustainability and reporting requirements.
Scottish Sports Futures worked with Boxfish to develop a clear and reliable understanding of its carbon footprint through the collection and analysis of emissions data. While at the beginning of its sustainability journey and with data still being developed and refined, this work establishes a strong and standardised foundation for future carbon reporting, supporting funding applications, annual communication, and wider organisational planning.
This support delivered a detailed baseline Carbon Report, giving Scottish Sports Futures a clear understanding of its carbon footprint. The assessment provides strong value for funding applications, reporting, and future planning, helping the charity take informed next steps on its sustainability journey and build towards long-term environmental goals.
“Boxfish delivered thorough and highly valuable Carbon Reporting support that has been instrumental for us. Their expertise and clear approach helped us make sense of complex data and turn it into something meaningful and actionable. The work provides a strong foundation for our sustainability journey and will directly support our funding, reporting, and future planning.”
