SITUATION

Carr Gomm, a leading social care and community development charity, is committed to operating responsibly and proactively addressing its environmental impact. Recognising the importance of climate action and the need to align with national Net Zero targets, Carr Gomm required a clear and standardised starting point for its long-term carbon management strategy. Carr Gomm lacked a formalised, reliable baseline from which to accurately measure, report and track its carbon footprint.

SOLUTION

Boxfish partnered with Carr Gomm to establish this foundation, focusing on the collection and analysis of emissions data to provide a clear understanding of the organisation’s carbon footprint. The project involved developing a carbon baseline by comprehensively reviewing and calculating Scope 1, 2, and selected Scope 3 emissions. This work provided a standardised reporting framework for future tracking, alongside strategic guidance and recommendations to help the organisation align with its Net Zero targets.

RESULT

This collaboration successfully delivered Carr Gomm’s first emissions baseline report, empowering the team with the tools and insight needed to take meaningful further steps on their sustainability journey. The actionable recommendations provided clarity and direction for future planning, laying the groundwork for a practical and effective Net Zero reduction strategy.

‘Partnering with Boxfish has been invaluable in helping us take control of our sustainability journey. Their expertise and clear guidance not only deepened our understanding of our emissions but also helped us identify key gaps that will shape our future improvements. The Carbonbaseline Report gives us a strong foundation for setting ambitious yet achievable goals, reinforcing our commitment to environmental responsibility and long-term progress toward Net Zero.’
